Gallery Institute
Gallery Institute is a tiny arts organization. It started when a couple friends were applying for their US artist visas and needed more US solo-exhibitions. It is a digital institution that mirrors the visual language of a proper contemporary arts institution. The website tries to perform as an idealized art institution. Idealized by paying its artists, offering a gestures of transparency, and being driven by its "mission statement" to help artists realize their largest and most expansive dreams by portraying fictionalized digital-first exhibitions. When partnering with artists, GI works closely to craft the exhibition's narrative, and reach beyond what might typically be possible without incredible funding or resources. To support the ideal imagined project, we might create high-resolution documentation photography or video, an interactive website, or whatever else might offer enough for the viewer to experience the project online.
